Molecular weight of 177.2, is a white or slightly yellow powder, soluble in ethanol, chloroform, ether, hot benzene, hot petroleum ether, acid and alkali hydroxide solution, slightly soluble in water. Case of ferrous chloride was purple, flammable, heated decomposition of the release of toxic nitrogen oxide smoke.
