Aescin is a saponin extract from the Horse Chestnut Tree, in particular, the seeds. It is also knownw as Esculin, Escin, and Rosskastanie. Aescin acts as an astringent, vasoconstrictor, and anti-inflammatory activities. It is commonly used in skin treatments, especially those targeted towards spider veins and varicose veins.
