Maltitol is obtained by the hydrogenation of maltose,maltitol has a unique physiological function and physical and chemical character,with heat resistance,acid resistance,moisture retention and unfermentable characteristics,in addition,maltitol is easily dissolved in water,and can not cause blood sugar increasing,it is a new type of functional sweeteners.Therefore,it is not a substitute for the effectiveness of other sweeteners,has been widely used in food processing,health care and other fields.Such as hard candy,soft sweets,biscuits,butter cake,fruit Xiangpi Tang,chewing gum,chocolate, baked goods and ice cream,etc.
