泊头是驰名中外的“鸭梨之乡”，全市鸭梨种植面积25万亩，年产鸭梨40万吨。泊头鸭梨果型独特，皮薄汁丰，甜脆爽心，具有清痰祛燥、润肺滋肾、明目怡神的功效。在保持传统特色鸭梨品种的基础上，还先后引进了黄冠、丰水、大果水晶等名优新特品种，年出口鸭梨5万吨，远销美国、加拿大、澳大利亚、东南亚等30多个国家和地区，并成功打入美国沃尔马超市。被列为“全国无公害农产品生产基地”和“全国园艺产品出口示范区”。
金丝小枣是泊头的又一特产，这里流传着“天天吃小枣，胜过灵芝草”的谚语。全市种植面积30万亩，年产优质金丝小枣5万吨。远销台湾、香港等10多个国家和地区。
