This type of reinforcement interlayer is produced with fiberglass yarns characterized by excellent tensile strength and high modulus of elasticity. Such combination makes it ideal to strengthening and to combat the premature failure on the asphaltic overlay.
In comparison with traditional rehabilitation systems, it has been observed that BonGridTM is able to prolong the pavement life up to twofold preventing it from the rapid generation of cracks on the asphaltic layer both induced by fatigue and reflective cracking.
