Composition: 90% gold, 10% copper (.529 oz of gold in each twenty dollar coin).
Issued: 1967 only (with the exception of the 1/2 oz maple leafs with the $20 face value).

The $20 gold coin was really Canada's first non-circulating commemorative coin. Is was of course legal tender then as it is now, however it was never minted for the purpose of circulating. The coin is an excellent compliment to the rest of the set which was minted in silver and base metals and depicts various Canadian wildlife.
