Formosa Medical Devices Inc. (FMDI) is a company which specializes in research development, manufacturing and marketing of the “Safety” medical devices.
FMDI was set up in Taipei, 1998, and we completed the R&D for our first “retractable” safety syringe" in 2002. Our innovative design allows the user’s hands and fingers to remain behind the needle when operation. And, once activated, the safety mechanism, the contaminated needle is retracted into the barrel to prevent –stick injury. Moreover this safety syringe is permanently disabled and cannot be reused totally.
FMDI have obtained many patent rights as well as ISO13485 certification of medical instrument in 2003, US FDA 510K Clearance, CE certification from EU and Canada as well. Furthermore, we have sold and distributed our products to French, China, Middle-East, South-East Asia, and the US market. We are continually looking for business partners all over the world.
